Good morning, Dr. Smith’s office.

 

Patient:

Good morning, My name is Mary Lopez and I would like to make an appointment.

 

Receptionist:

What are your symptoms?

 

Patient:

My stomach hurts.  I am vomiting, and I also have diarrhea.

 

Receptionist:

How long have you felt this way?

 

Patient:

For the past twenty-four hours.

 

Receptionist:

Okay, Dr. Smith has an appointment open at 10:00 this morning.  Will that work for you?

 

Patient:

Yes, I will be there at 10:00.

 

Receptionist:

See you tomorrow at ten.

 


 

 

 

 

Receptionist:

Good morning, Dr. Smith’s office.

 

Patient:

Hello.  My name is Mary Lopez, and I called this morning and made an appointment for 10:00 a.m., but I need to reschedule the appointment because my car won’t start, and I can’t get a ride until after noon. 

Do you have any appointments available this afternoon?”

 

Receptionist:

There is only one appointment left. It’s at 3:30 p.m.  Can you make it?

 

Patient:

Yes, thank you very much.  I’ll be there.

Patient:

Good morning Doctor Smith

Doctor Sminth:

How may I help you?

Patient:

I fell bad. My throat hurts.

Doctor Smith:

Are you tire or exhausted?

Patient:

A little bit.

Doctor Smith:

I have to ask you some questions.

Do you feel sick?

Patient:

Yes, I feel very sick.

Doctor Smith:

Don't worry, everything is going to be okay. Do you have an earache

Patient:

Yes I have an earache and also headache.

Doctor Smith:

Are you allergic to anything?

Patient: 

No, I am not allergic to anything.

Doctor Smith: I think you have a cold Mrs Lopez, my advice is to go home and get some rest.

Patient: Thank you Doctor.

Doctor Smith: I am going to give you a prescription for some headache talets and cough syrup. It will help you with the sore thoat.

Patient: I think there is a pharmacy near my house. Doctor Smith: There is a pharmacy on this street. Patient: Thank you very much Doctor, have good day, Bye.

Doctor Smith: Take care Mrs Lopez.
